About Me:


Leila is a South African Level 3 yoga instructor and personal trainer. She has always had an interest in physical activity; participating in cross country and long distance swimming events during school, lifting weights in gym and discovering yoga in her early 20’s and recently completing half marathons and obstacle course races. She has been working in the fitness industry since 2014, teaching both group and private one-on-one classes. She has been with Advantage Sports in Abu Dhabi since 2015. Helping others to improve their quality of life through physical movement, correct alignment, body awareness and breathing is important to Leila. She is committed to helping her clients find their unique balance by strengthening and empowering clients.

Leila has achieved her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training & Reiki Level 1 and also has her First Aid Certificate. These qualifications coupled with her 2 years of yoga knowledge ensure your yoga goals and objectives will be met in full.

As a mobile female Abu Dhabi based Yoga Instructor Leila can offer training sessions in a variety of locations designed around your schedule and your training preferences.

My Personal Training Style:


Leila communicates clearly with clients and guides them gently yet firmly. She is able to create a comfortable, safe environment for clients to explore and challenge their bodies whilst working towards their goals.

Yoga: Hatha yoga, vinyasa flow, yin yoga, yin/yang flow. Depending on the client’s energy levels, Leila will adjust her classes to suit the client’s needs and physical fitness level.

PT: TRX (suspension training), Kettlebells, body weight exercises, HIIT. Training programmes are planned according to each individual’s goals and current fitness levels, keeping in mind their other daily commitments.

As a yoga & pilates personal trainer in Abu Dhabi Leila will help you select the right type of yoga for you:

Hatha Yoga- classical style of yoga focusing on poses (asanas) and breathing (pranayama), which has become known in the west as yoga. Typically involves tuning in with breath awareness, setting of intention, physical poses with verbal and physical adjustment/assists to ensure alignment which aids in energetic flow through the body, relaxation and/or meditation to end the class. A gentler practice, good for beginner and intermediate levels.

Yin Yoga – slow paced, passive style of yoga, focusing on stretching the deeper connective tissue (fascia, ligaments and tendons) rather than the muscles. Poses are held for between 1 and 10 minutes. Increases circulation in the joints and improves flexibility. Also assists with learning the basics of meditation and learning to let go. Good for athletes and those that need to relax.

Vinyasa Flow – stronger, faster style of yoga where each breath is linked to a movement. Poses flow from one to the next, often linked by a half sun salutation. This is more of a workout than other styles of yoga. It is recommended that new yoga students take a few slower paced classes to get a feel for poses before trying a vinyasa class.

Yin/Yang Flow – combination of vinyasa flow and yin yoga. Creates a beautifully balanced class.

My personal training methods & exercise kit I regularly use:

Yoga workouts are based on the Yoga mat, which is done on the floor with a minimum of equipment. You will also need a towel.

When you are ready though, you can progress to use yoga blocks, wedges & straps during your personal or group yoga personal training sessions.

For PT sessions in Abu Dhabi Leila uses a wide variety of training equipment based on your training needs and specific personal training goals.

Where can you provide personal training services?

Anywhere, we offer a full mobile personal training service in Abu Dhabi. We are able to provide training in your home, gym, corniche, local park and work place gym.

Do you provide a fitness evalutation before I start?

Yes, we provide you with a free consultation and fitness evaluation which can help Leila access your current fitness levels and levels of experience. Using this information the right personal training program can be created to allow you to train in a safe and injury free way.

Do you provide nutritional and diet information?

Although not part of Leila’s personal training program nutrition and diet advise can be provided with Advantage Sports UAE.

Do I need any specialist personal training equipment?

All you really need to begin practicing Yoga is your body, your mind, and a bit of curiosity. But it is also good to wear stretchy, comfortable clothes that aren’t too baggy. No special footwear is required because you will be barefoot. You will also need a Yoga mat.

Do you provide discounts for group training?

Yes. If you would prefer to train in a group of people Leila can provide discounted rates for group yoga sessions. Contact Leila using the ‘Contact Tab’ for further information and current pricing.

Can I pre-book weekly personal training times?

Yes. This is the recommended option to ensure your timing slots are secured. Pre-booking also gives you something to focus on and increases your training motivation.

What if I need to cancel a personal training session?

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be received at least 24 hours before your training session in order to avoid being charged for your session. Clients who do not cancel with 24 hours notice will be charged for the cancelled session, unless already agreed with Advantage Sports Management.

Advantage Sports understands that emergencies happen. We provide every client with one free short-notice cancellation. You will not be charged for your first cancellation with less than 24 hour notice. Subsequent short-notice cancellations will be charged for the session. The free short-notice cancellation only applies if Advantage Sports is notified prior to the session start time. No shows are not eligible for the free cancellation.

    Leila has been a great yoga instructor. She has taken my health condition into account and only gives me basic moves suited to my ability. She has clearly researched my condition and the types of yoga poses that can help and has put this into practice. She varies the sessions so they don’t get repetitive and uses a mix of poses, meditation and breathing techniques. I am very happy with our sessions and would not hesitate to recommend Leila to others.

    I am into my second month with Leila as my Yoga teacher and have found her to be very informed about the movements she is teaching, the concept of Yoga on many levels and very articulate. She is also very aware of her students, their needs and their limitations. She has no hesitation moving around the class and helping those struggling with certain movements. Also advising those who have had an injury which movements to take it easy on. We also have little bits of fun because we stagger a lot trying to hold certain positions. I meet the same people each week (twice a week) so that in itself is a good recommendation. They obviously enjoy the class. I find the last part of the Yoga very relaxing and peaceful. Thank you Leila. I moved to Al Reef in May and have waited until now to find a teacher. I am very happy with Leila.
